Bring 250 ml of water to a boil in a small saucepan over high heat. Add the barley and boil for one minute. Reduce the heat to low, cover and cook for 15 minutes, until all the water is absorbed and the barley is tender.

Pour water into the pot until it is about 2 cm deep. Bring everything to a boil. Place the carrots and mushrooms in the pressure cooker basket. Place the basket in the pot. Note that the water in the pan should not touch the bottom of the basket. Cover with a tight-fitting lid and cook for 5-7 minutes.

While the barley and vegetables are cooking, bring the stock to a boil in a medium to large saucepan. Add the beef and cook for about 2 minutes, until the meat is no longer pink inside. Stir the beef with the end of a spatula or a wooden spoon throughout the cooking time to get fairly small pieces.

To serve, cut the vegetables and beef into small pieces and sprinkle with finely chopped parsley. If necessary, skip the dish through blender and mix until you get the desired consistency for your baby.
