RECIPE – Irish soup

For one person 5 minutes of preparation | 20 minutes of preparation | costs 0.95 euros


  • 1 small leek (150 g)
  • 20 g of butter
  • 80 g oat grains
  • 25 ml of homemade broth (or 25 ml of water + fennel shells)

Clean the leeks, cut them very finely and put them in a water bath to rinse.

Melt half a piece of butter in a pan, add leeks and sweat for a few minutes.

Add the rolled oats and mix in the butter. Pour broth or water with a few dill seeds into the pan. Simmer for 5 minutes over low heat, then season with salt and pepper.

Continue cooking for 5 minutes and transfer to a bowl.


Homemade broth
For homemade broth, store vegetable purees in a box in the refrigerator; if you need stock for a recipe, boil them for 10 minutes in a pot of water.

Leave a few thinly sliced ​​rings for decoration.
